The community blueprint begins with us.

The Ferguson-Florissant School District is preparing for its next chapter.

Before we finalize goals, establish priorities, or determine the work ahead, we want to begin with the experiences of our students, employees, families, alumni, and community.

We are asking one important question.

Every response will become a building block in a larger foundation—helping us understand the kinds of experiences that make people feel connected to something truly special.

If something here does not answer your question, contact the district.

Is my story really anonymous?
Yes. We do not ask for your name, email address, school, or work location, and the form has no field that could carry them. Your story is saved on its own, with no account and no identifier that points back to you.
What if I also give my contact information for a Building Session?
That is collected separately, on a different page, and saved as a separate record. There is no link between the two — not a shared code, not a timestamp, nothing. The district cannot connect your name to the story you shared.
Who reads what I write?
A group of stakeholders reviews submissions and groups them into themes to further the build. Individual stories are never published on this site — only the total number of contributions is shown publicly.
How long does this take?
About five minutes. There is one question, and a few sentences are enough.
What if I cannot think of a story?
It does not need to be dramatic. A small moment counts — someone noticing your effort, a project that came together, a day that felt different. If nothing comes to mind today, you are welcome to come back.
What if my experience was difficult?
Share it. We are trying to understand what makes people feel connected, and honest accounts of when that was missing are just as useful as the good ones.
Can I submit more than one story?
More than one is not prohibited, but we would like to keep it to one building block per person so that as many unique voices as possible are heard. If you have several experiences in mind, choose the one that says the most.
Can I change or delete my story after I send it?
No — and that is a direct result of it being anonymous. Because nothing ties the story to you, there is no way for us to find yours again. Please read it over before you add it to the build.
What happens to what I write?
Stories are grouped into recurring themes across all participants, and those themes will inform the district planning that follows. Your individual words are not published or attributed to you.
Do I have to join a Building Session?
No. The invitation appears only after your story is saved, and declining changes nothing. Your contribution is complete either way.
Can I do this in Spanish?
Yes. Use the EN / ES control at the top of any page. The whole experience is available in both languages.
What happens after the deadline, or once 2,000 building blocks are received?
A team reviews everything that was shared and works to establish the themes and priorities running through it. Those are shared back with the broader community, and the findings are then used to begin updating the district’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan — the CSIP.
What if my story mentions something serious?
An anonymous submission may still describe a situation the district has a duty to look into, and staff escalate those under district policy. We cannot identify who wrote a story, so if you or someone else needs help now, please contact a trusted adult, a school staff member, or the appropriate authority directly.
